“What a wonderful experience. I was looking for an artist who could help me with a palm tattoo, and Ace was brilliant. I truly can’t imagine a better experience than what Ace and Maddison offer in their stunning mountain sanctuary. The studio is such a calming, grounding space nestled in a magical forest, inviting nature in from every angle, textures and forms melding with the beautifully curated studio. It’s hard to ignore the dialogue between Ace’s art and the surrounding forest, which brings life and so much natural movement into the design of his tattoos. Such understanding of form and flow have given me a piece of art that I’m so excited about, and an experience I’ll never forget.

From conception to completion, I felt so supported and looked after. We had a lot of fun coming up with the concept for my tattoo and working out a final design. I always felt in control of the outcome, Ace really understood what I was trying to say and listened to what was and wasn’t working for me. During this design time we built a lot of trust and I felt really lucky to be able to let Ace run with the ideas we (he, really) came up with. Having had issues in the past, Ace was able to read how my skin reacted to being tattooed and work with it to ensure the best heal possible.

Importantly, the care and attention for your tattoo doesn’t stop when you leave the Exium studio. Ace and Maddison went well above and beyond my expectations, checking in regularly for updates on how the heal was going and offering expert advice and reassurance.
